(Senior) iOS Engineer

As a (Senior) iOS Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic start-up-like team while being able to leverage the corporate muscle of our mothership company GLS. Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications, balancing performance, reliability and security with meeting user and business objectives
• Contribute to the development of technical specifications, architecture, and design documentation
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, android and backend engineers to define product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria in order to deliver compelling user experiences
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using industry best practices and coding standards and optimize performance through profiling, debugging and testing
• Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with iOS development trends and by exploring new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance our iOS applications
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback – share your expertise to improve code quality and maintainability while helping to foster a culture of learning and growth

 

What you need to be successful

Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in native iOS application development using Swift
• Proven track record of working with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services
• Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment
• Experience working in a start-up-like environment or a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting

• Strong understanding of software design patterns, architectural patterns, and iOS application design principles
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills as well as an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Passion for user experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality products
